An Ava Mini.

I'm so far behind in scrapbooking the girls pictures, its not even funny. I decided to make a mini of my favorite pictures of Ava.

You can see the rest of the mini album in my AMM gallery.

A few scrapbooking layouts.

I've never actually posted any before. I've also barely finished a layout this summer! I was doing well up until 4th of July, and then summer just got too busy. I subscribed to a monthly kit club at A Million Memories in July. Love the kits. The kits have gotten me back into the swing of creating things, and capturing all these memories. Here are a few layouts I completed before I got caught up in summer activities.

The first two layouts use some of my favorite paper - Pink Paislee.

First ponytail.

I'm not sure Ava really has enough hair for a ponytail, but she finally let me put one in!

I need to get her hair trimmed. Her baby mullet is getting ridiculous. I'm going to have to break down and get her first hair cut.

I don't know what's up with Alexa's goofy smile, but I still think this is a cute picture.

A mini trip to Cedar Point!

Monday, we headed out to Cedar Point for the day. It started a bit rough. Barely get into Detroit, and my car overheats. Fun. High tail it back to John's parent's house, and borrow one of their cars. We made it by 11:30, so not too bad, even with a stop for breakfast. The girls just loved Cedar Point. John didn't even get to ride one roller coaster! It was non-stop running from kid ride, to kid ride. Alexa even rode the Woodstock Express roller coaster. I have got to scan in the picture from that ride. We bought the picture they take as you come down the hill... the look on her face is priceless.

Here's a few pics that we took that day.

Sad news from daycare

We learned today that a couple of little girls (sisters, 4 and 2, like ours) lost their father over the weekend. I don't know any details, but apparently he was killed in a rollover accident somewhere up north. How incredibly sad. My heart breaks for those girls and their family. I hope they find the peace and comfort they will need in the coming days and weeks.

You know it's a good day on the beach...

when you can fall asleep like this:

We spent HOURS on the beach in Caseville this past Saturday. About 6 hours. The weather was perfect and the girls enjoyed every minute.

It was the second weekend for Cheeseburger in Caseville. And it was packed. Thousands of people on the public beach next to our beach. There was a sand castle competition at the public beach. I don't know who won, but if I had a vote it would have gone for this creation:

I don't know if it's clear enough, but that is a Hungry, Hungry Hippos' game!

And from last weekend, our family reunion...nothing like pudding shots!

Rain, pudding shots and more rain.

That pretty much summed up our weekend in Caseville. We had our annual Pic-n-Putt reunion with my mom's paternal side of the family. Always a great time. Although this year, it rained. A lot. I haven't been up north in years that it had rained like it did this past weekend. Constant, cold and windy rain. I did get a few good, sunny pictures from Friday, the only dry day of the weekend. I'll have to post those later. We didn't get to go into town for Cheeseburger in Caseville activities, so we may head back up on Friday this week, for another go at the fun.

The pudding shots. Man, did we ever go through alot of them. My cousin Marisa, is the pudding shot Queen. She made 5 flavors - lemon, white chocolate raspberry, chocolate and baileys, amaretto and Spumoni. FABULOUS. Sinful. I think she made over 100 of them. None left. I think the Spumoni was my favorite. She even layered the colors and flavors, vanilla, chocolate and pistacchio. She calls herself a "mad scientist", just mixing and concocting flavors and combinations with alcohol until it's just right. I think she should market and sell them!

I love these pictures.

Simple. Quiet. Those are two words I'd use to describe them.
