T-ball here we come!

We took a leap of faith and signed Alexa up for t-ball. 10 games, some practices, just the basics of learning the game. She always asks us to pitch to her in the back yard. She seems game for the idea, and is excited to make new friends. I told her about the uniforms (I can't wait to see her in one!)
Me: Alexa, when you play baseball, you get to wear a uniform.
Alexa: What's a uniform?
M: Matching baseball outfit, or clothes.
A: Ok, I want a baseball shirt, and a skirt.

Um, sweetie, no skirts in baseball. Sorry.

I think this will prove interesting to say the least!

March Apron Strings Designs Projects -- part 2

Here are a few more layouts I completed with the March Apron Strings Designs Kit. Amazingly enough, each page kit had papers I did not have in my stash.

From the Heidi Grace kit:

From the Scenic Route kit:

And from the Cosmo Cricket kit, a itty-bitty mini with my scraps:
You can see the rest of the mini here. I took a some pictures of a couple of the pages. I didn't want to make the post too picture heavy.

Hopefully tomorrow, I can get some pictures of the girls loaded in all the St. Patrick's day greenness.

March Apron Strings Designs Projects

This was my first month designing for Apron Strings and I just loved the Smaller than a Bread Box kit. My first project was with the Cosmo Cricket Snorkel papers. Love the colors. (So much so, that I picked up some more paper this week.) I used the Becky Fleck sketch included with the kit for this layout.

I have several other project to post, but Photoshop Elements and my browser, do not seem to co-exist well. So, I'll add those starting tomorrow. The other two page kits I received were Scenic Route Sonoma and Heidi Grace Reagan Closet.

Kindergarten Round-up

It's official. We'll be parents of an elementary-aged kid in no time. Alexa can't wait. Mom and Dad could use a little more time to adjust. Like a few dozen years. ;) We didn't tell Alexa until that afternoon, that she was going to check out the "big, new school." She. Was. So. Excited.

The school took the kids to the Media Center for a couple activities and then a bus ride (!). The ride was the highlight of Alexa's year. We saw her get on the bus (no pics, dang!) and she was beaming. I was so proud of my girl, she listened to their instructions about how to sit, and when to be quiet on the bus, like a pro.

Of course, school is so much fun, she did not want to leave. We're going to have to work on that.
At least I have a few months to prepare myself for the real first day this fall!

I did get a picture of Alexa before we went. Please note the jewerly she *had* to put on for the festive occasion.

And one of Ava, just because I love her eyes in this picture.

Home with some sick little chicklets

I kept the girls home today, they both have coughs and runny noses. Alexa little voice sounds like she's been smoking a pack a day for years! So we're home and they are playing with little pets and polly pockets. It's going to be WARM today! A high above 60. We go from unseasonably cold to unseasonably warm, all in the span of a week. *sigh* That's Michigan.

Next week I can reveal my Apron Strings Designs projects. The March kit will be up early in the week. I'm going to have to get more Cosmo Cricket Snorkel paper, loved the colors in it.

Until then, here is a layout I finished of Ava. My little boo just plopped down and took a nap on the beach. One of my favorite pictures from this summer. That weather can't get here fast enough.

Hi, Mother Nature?

I'm not sure if you are on the same calendar as the rest of us, but it is March 2nd. Not January 2nd. Low temperatures of -1 are really not appropriate for this time of year. I can't really think of a good time for temps that low, but now, not really good. A high of 40 sounds heavenly right now, so hopefully you can oblige, without 2 inches of rain. Just a thought.
Thanks.
