Apron Strings Blog Hop!

Apron Strings now has a blog! And, today is the kick off of the first ever blog hop! If you want to join in the fun, and prizes, the Apron Strings blog is the place to start. Once you check in there, you'll be directed right back here. :)

I only "discovered" the online world of scrappers last year, and I am hooked. I never knew what a kit club was until then. I must have researched kit clubs for months before even taking the plunge. Apron Strings is a great place to join, I have loved each kit so far. I just received my June kit to design with and it has two gorgeous paper collections! I can't show any sneaks yet of that kit, but I can show some previous work.

Here are some of my projects from previous AS kits:

If you've checked in at the Apron Strings blog, you know to look for some "phrases" that describe the Apron Strings kits. My words for you to collect are "BUDGET FRIENDLY." The kits are easy on your wallet and if you like to work with page kits like I do, they are a great value. Read on and you'll find the next designer to hop over too and collect more phrases for the drawing.

Members of the design team have come up with a challenge or a sketch for you to play along with. My project was a sketch. You'll find this sketch over on the Apron Strings blog as well, but here is the sketch I created:

If you create a layout based on my sketch, link it up under the appropriate post at the Apron Strings blog. Every time you participate in a challenge you will be entered in a daily raffle for prizes from Apron Strings!

Here is a layout I created based on my sketch. I still need to add the finishing touches, but I used the May Smaller than a Breadbox kit, which included a nice page kit from Pink Paislee (one of my all-time favorite companies).

How about a RAK? Simply leave me a comment on this post and I will enter you in a drawing for some new Basic Grey mini-stamps and other goodies. If you create a layout based on my sketch and link it here (and at the AS Blog), I will enter your name twice into the RAK drawing. You have until Tuesday at 9PM (Eastern Standard Time) to leave a comment and/or a link to your layout for my RAK!

Now, it's time to hop over to Jennifer Halleck's blog to see more great projects and collect the next "phrase" for the Apron Strings blog. Once you've hopped to all the designer blogs, you can email Apron Strings and enter in the drawing. Good luck!
